NATPA Context
NATPA founded on February 16, 1980, at the University of Chicago
The S Cal Chapter grew from 15 founding members to nearly 100 — becoming NATPA’s largest and most active chapter among its 11 regional chapters
At the time of the chapter’s establishment (1985), there were 45 active Taiwanese associations/organizations in the greater Los Angeles area
The chapter established a “Speakers Bureau” and later launched the “S Cal Tribune” (南加學壇), publishing weekly articles in 國際日報 and 太平洋時報
