NATPA (North America Taiwanese Professors’ Association)

Overview

The North America Taiwanese Professors’ Association (NATPA) is a professional and academic organization for Taiwanese professors and scholars in North America. The parent organization has multiple regional chapters across the continent.

NATPA was established to:

  • Foster academic exchange among Taiwanese professors in North America
  • Build professional networks across institutions
  • Support Taiwanese American community engagement through scholarship
  • Promote Taiwanese culture and history in academic settings

History

The NATPA-South-California-Chapter was organized through an Ad Hoc Committee formed in 1984. Key figures in the founding included:
